the last blog

Imagen
This is the last blog and I did not know what to write. My brain is already asking for a break and I still have a horrible week full of evaluations. Personally, I did not like to write blogs, I do not write things like that in any social network, so it is uncomfortable to give information about my private life in this platform. I find it entertaining to write things about myself, but voluntarily and whenever I want, not as it happens in the class where it is an obligatory evaluation, and where I share with people I do not know in depth. However, in this blog I want to thank Professor Ricardo. He's been the best English teacher I've ever had, thinking about high school as well as college. I think it's great that you criticize the university's program and let us know that it is anachronistic. I hope you continue to do classes at the "Escuelita" and that my schedule allows me to have classes next semester with you. Thanks for so much and sorry for so lit...

favorites books

About books I do not know much. Most of the books I've read were part of my high school's curriculum. Of all the books I had to read, I only loved two of them. Coincidentally, the two are by Chilean authors, the first was "Tengo miedo torero" by Pero Lemebel and the other "La contadora de películas" by Hernán Rivera. I had both books, but one I lent and they never gave it back to me. The other I gave to a friend. Their stories tell facts based on the history of Chile. "Tengo miedo torero" tells the story of a poor transvestite man who was involved in an attack against the dictator Pinochet. I do not remember the story very well because I read it a long time ago, but I would read it again because I loved the storyline. On the other hand, "La contadora de películas" tells the story of a girl who had a great talent for telling the movies to those who could not go to the cinema to see them in the nitrates of northern Chile. Both stories ar...

Hi classmates, today I’m going to talk about my favorite music. First, my favorite types of music are cumbia and in general the chilean music like hip-hop or rock chilean. I think these music is more connected with my feelings than other kind of music, and I believe this is the best music for listen to in any moment. I’m not sure when I started listening to this kind of music, but was around when I was fifteen years old, when I was in the middle of high school. For to mention some bands and singers that I like can be: La Combo Tortuga, Villa Cariño, Ana Tijoux, Santa Feria, Chancho en Piedra, Moral Distraída, Joe Vasconcellos, Liricistas, Portavoz, Illapu, Guachupe and others. I could see to the vast majority of this artists in diferents concerts and i believe these moments that are the most important of mi life. Reciently i went to the concert for the memory in the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos located in Santiago, Finally, I’d like to say a personal appreciation. I ...

A placess i would like to visit

Imagen
There a lot of countries or places I would like to visit; unfortunately I don't think I will be able to travel to all of them mostly because I don't expect much from my future job or my health (I love drink beer and wine and eat french potatoes, cancer alert hahaha) If I really have to choose, I would like to go to Rapa Nui or New Zeland; both places have the types of weather that i like it Rapa Nui seems to be a better option because of the language and the knowledge I have about its culture (I was kind of obsessed with Rapa Nui when I was younger), for example: i know about the tradicional festival Tapati Rapa Nui that consist in sport competitions and representation dances of his culture, or about the Moais that are the most important heritage of Rapa Nui. If I ever get there, I’d probably I'll spent my time walking around of the island admiring the Moais or natural places like Rano Raraku, that is a volcanic cráter, and i will like talking with the people about ...

Something that i liked

Hello everyone, I’ve always liked to watch tv shows, this year I was looking for an interesting new show to watch when a friend said there’s this drama on Netflix called “Peaky Blinders”, she told it was about some brittish gangster family after World War I. The gang is led by Thomas Shelby, the middle brother of the family but he usually needs the help of his aunt Polly Gray. There’s also Arthur, the older brother and John who is younger than Thomas, finally is Finn, the youngest of the family. Personally I really disliked Arthur, he was kind of dumb. The show has a great cast, Tommy is played by Cillian Murphy meanwhile Polly is portrayed by Helen McCrory and in the second season Tom Hardy plays a sort of villain called Alfie Solomons. At first I didn’t have that much faith in the show and I wasn’t sure if I should watch it but I did anyways, it turned out to be a very interesting show whit a very good plot, except for the romance storyline that was predictable. In my ...

I'm not a believer

Since I was a child, religion has an important place in the heart of my family, more among my maternal relatives. I did not know much about it, they forced me to learn about Catholicism. I had no chance to refuse at home or at school. When I was about 13 years old, I began to question things and I definitely distanced myself from everything I considered religious. I never liked it and I never believed in a character like Jesus, if I really like the stories of the Bible, but I never thought they happened, I wish I could walk on water or transform water into wine. The video, although it is conspiratorial, shows that the history of Catholicism is not original.  However, I do not know if the facts it shows are real .Anyway, I don't believe in religions, nor in a God, although I still think that maybe there is something beyond material life, maybe that part of the religions is real, <<just maybe>>.

Why Administración Pública?

Hello, when I was finishing high school in 2015, I did not know very well what to choose as a profession and career for my future work. I was very confused, I liked different subjects that in fact, did not have much relationship. I enjoyed biology and history, they were my favorite subjects.  In that time, also I not prepared for the PSU test, I thought wait a year to study and clear my mind. However, I looked for careers that would interest me in the web site of public universities and the requirements to enter the "PDI" and be a detective. After the publication of results of the PSU test, I got the score for this career that was within my options and I was selected fot the free scholarship, consequently, I decided to give it an opportunity because of its interdisciplinary nature and great job opportunities.  <<I'm still not very sure of my decision, but I've known good people and great women on the road>>.

I have a male cat, its name is Stich, on june will be 2 years old. Stich was given to me. On the other hand, I love sports, music and dancing. About  sports, I play soccer often with my former classmates of my high school. Nowdays, I also practice athletism on mondays and wednesdays (since the last year), because I like improving week by week  my own goals. My favorite music is cumbia and chilean folk. In fact, I was a member in a folkloric group were I learned how to dance different Chilean traditional dances like Cueca, between march of 2015 and april of 2017, I have good memories about that time. <<Everyone should try to learn a bit of our own culture>>
